Week of May 14-18

Monday - Today we are preparing for Decades' Day by practicing our dance.

Tuesday- Today is Decades Day and almost everybody looks like a Hippie!!  We are about to do the twist.

May 6- 10

Monday - There are 13 days of school left and we've already taken up all of our textbooks, because we have so many projects.  ONe of our biggest projects  is bridge building.  Bridge building is rally fun.  We formed companies and everybody has a job.

Tuesday -We have taken off the 12 th chain because we are 12 days away fomr the end of the year and every day we take off a chain and somebody reads their favorite part of the fifth grade.  Today, we worked on our Moving On project and more on our Bridge proejct.  Our Moving On is a movie about our Reflections while we have been at Addison.  I can't wait to finish, it is really fun!!

Wednesday- Today we got Donuts, because everyone passed the Writing Assessment.

Friday - Today we had lots of fun doing the twist and listening to 60s Music.  Simpson kids had there field trip and  we had our last Fifth Grade Enrichment.

Weeks of February 13-27

       The video below shows pictures of our  "Soul Train Positive Stroll Walk" with Ms. Weston, working with our  Reading Buddies making graphs of a box of Valentine Hearts and  our Valentine Boxes with our winner, Cade.   Finally, pictures of us in the Science lab learning about microscopes.  Thanks to Alex for our name plate for our class pet "Bubbles".  Enjoy!

Our Garden

This week we cut lettuce and cilantro from our garden.  We were able to have a wonderful salad bar enjoyed by everyone.

Week of January 31- February 3

Monday- We went to the libary to learn more about taking notes for our big historical project.  We also made a graph to learn more about measuring.

Tuesday- Ms. Weston came and we shared our immigate projects with the class.  We got to learn new things about the person they interviewed and the country the person came from.

Wednesday - We got to work on our homework.  We also went to the science lab.  Int he lab, we got to build series and parallel circuits.  It was so much fun!

Thursday - ALP students went to ALP.  There were four new people getting to go to ALP.  They are Jackleen, Cade, Leanna, and Brooke.  It was so exciting.  The rest of the class go to do centers.

Friday - We had fifth grade enrichment with the whole fifth grade.  It was so much fun.  We go to play outside for thirty minutes.
