Halloween week!
We had to make graphs of the Halloween candies we got for homework on Friday. We all had a lot of fun Trick-or-treating
This weeks’ science was making a Halloween fun food. We made little snail-looking thingees.
On first in math Alan is beating Robert with 3003 stickers.
We are studying graphs in math. We watched some movies about graphs. Shades of Gray is getting very interesting. In 2 weeks we will go to Rock Eagle! Next week is We Haz Jazz!! And we all do!!

The Best Week of the Year
This week was Drug Free Awareness Week ( Red Ribbon Week). We wore red, we wore hats, and we even wore our clothes inside out! Our class made drug awareness posters, raps, and essays.
We had our 9 weeks reward and voted to do a movie. The movie was called Johnny Shiloh and took place during the Civil War. If you had enough money in your check book, you could bring candy and/or a drink from home and our teacher also ordered us pizza! ( if you had enough money). Wow, what a week!

This week we saw our book buddies. We gave them their mini-books we made. First, we read it to them and then they read it to us. After that, we made a monarch butterfly to send to Mexico. Monarch butterflies are the only butterflies that migrates.
A couple of days later we went to PE and had the best PE we have ever had. We put scooters under mats and we got long ropes, jump ropes, and we pulled people around the gym. Then the day before the best gym day one our unnamed fish died. Then after the best gym day, our other unnamed fish died, but the good thing the unnamed fish live I mean swim in fishy heaven.
On Friday we made two scarecrows with Rachael's mom out of recyclable stuff. We put them in our garden.
This week we also took a closer look using microscopes, micro-viewers, and pocket viewers.

I want to thank all my students and their parents for the beautiful flowers and the gift certificates to Pikes and Chili's. I felt your love and support all the way up in North Caroline. I plan to purchase a tree to plant in honor of my Daddy. My husband and I will enjoy eating at Chili's and not having to cook. It means so much to me all the love and caring you have given me. It is good to be back with all of your children. They keep me busy and focused on them. I need the day and day right now. It is hard to lose someone who was such an important part of my life. You have given me time to be with him and to accept his passing. I will be forever grateful for you support and understanding.
Love,
Mrs. Tidrick

Dear Class,
I so appreciate all of your comments. They keep me connect to you and let me know how it is going in class.
I made it through the visitation where hundreds of people came to pay their respects to my Daddy. The funeral was very beautiful with some of his favorite hymns and several Ministers speaking about him.
There are a lot of things left to do. I need to stay and help my brother with some of things we need to do. We have never done this before so we are taking it step by step.
Please hang in there for me and do your best this week. You will have a different sub on Monday and Tuesday and I believe Mrs. Karlin will be back on Wednesday - Friday. Please listen and do the assignments. Please show them what a wonderful class you are. I miss each of you so much. I can't wait to hear about all the things you have been doing.
Love,
Mrs. T

Dear Class,
I hope this finds you all safe and dry. I have been watching the news and have seen all the flooding in Marietta. I saw the picture of Clarksdale Elementary and felt sad about all the materials and books that will be lost. I hope all of your homes are dry. We have had a lot of rain here and there was some major flooding on Sunday and some yesterday. Today was clear and sunny. It may rain again tonight and tomorrow.
My dad's funeral is on Thursday and tomorrow is the visitation. Two of my daughters came in today and the rest of our family will be arriving tomorrow. It will be nice to have us all together, but the next two days will be difficult. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
I know you enjoyed your day off today and you get another one tomorrow. Remember to read while you are at home.
Love,
Mrs. T

Dear Class,
I need a favor from each one of you. I need you to be very good this week, because I will not be there again and you will have a sub. Please do your best to help the sub and be on your best behavior.
I need to be with my family right now. My Daddy was doing well but he was not able to win his battle. He died this morning very peacefully. He was a very good man and I will miss very much. I need to be here with my family. I know my Daddy loved your cards and good wishes. They made hm smile. You are all very special to me.
Love,
Mrs. Tidrick

It is finally Friday and ITBS testing is over. I know everyone did their best. I heard Mrs. Shope bought you ice cream for doing such a great job.
My Daddy is doing better. He is getting stronger everyday and eats better. I am very proud of how hard he is working to get better. I hope he has a good night sleep tonight. The nights have not been very easy on him. It hard to sleep when you are not in your own bed. It will be hard to leave him on Sunday but I know he is in good hands.
I will see all of you on Monday. Be there or be square!!
Love,
Mrs. T

Only one day left for testing. I know you are excited!! What was you favote part of the test today? Did you think you did all right?
I spend the day with my Daddy. He is in the Rehab Center now and they really keep him working. He saw the Occupational Therapist, the Speech Therapist, the Physical Therapist and he worked down to the gym and did some exercises. It was a long walk for him and he was ready to go back to bed when he got back to his room. They are going to keep him busy and working hard so he can come home in two or three weeks. My brothers and I just have to keep encouraging him to stretch himself each day.
Good-luck on the final day of testing. I know you are all doing your best on the test.
Love,
Mrs. T
