Breaking the bridges tomorrow!!

Tomorrow is a big day for Room 309!  After many weeks of researching, designing, planning, and building the big day is here.  Tomorrow we will find out which Bridge Company has the strongest bridge.  We hope many of our parents and friends will be able to join us for this competition.  Our bridges are attractive and seem to be very strong. Below you will see the the finish product:

Week of March 30-April 4th

Our class is getting ready to Destroy their bridges we built.  We are goingto destroy on Wednesday, April 1st at 8:30.  Our class is getting ready to be on the Swamp Shack News for the rest of the year.

March 16-20

We had some great electricity projects. 

       

March 9-13

    We are still working on our bridges.  In art we did really good and got a compliment from Mrs. Herbert. We made castles in Art and they were looking god.    Pi Day is March 14, 2009.  That is 3-14 , just like the number Pi.  On Friday, March 13, we celebrated Pi with special Pi projecs and we ate pie.  It was good.

March 9-13

We checked our garden and a few tulips are peeking through.  Spring will be here soon!

March 1-6

On Wednesday, we had the State Writing Assessment.  It lasted two hours!  Before the bell rang, the "Writing Fairy" came by and wished up luck and gave us some "spit".

    

Thursday was the first day bridge companies could begin building their bridges.

       

 

February 23-27

This week we were designing our bridges.  We also decided on how many toothpicks we need to build them (the bridges). 

Ms. Harvey came and talked to us about writing.  It was pretty much of a review of everything we've been doing in writing.   She was preparing us for the writing assessment. 

Other than that, this week was not that exciting.
