Mrs. T Update: I need your help

Dear Class,

I so appreciate all of your comments.  They keep me connect to you and let me know how it is going in class.

I made it through the visitation where hundreds of people came to pay their respects to my Daddy.  The funeral was very beautiful with some of his favorite hymns and several Ministers speaking about him.

There are a lot of things left to do.  I need to stay and help my brother with some of things we need to do. We have never done this before so we are taking it step by step. 

Please hang in there for me and do your best this week.  You will have a different sub on Monday and Tuesday and I believe Mrs. Karlin will be back on Wednesday - Friday.  Please listen and do the assignments.  Please show them what a wonderful class you are.  I miss each of you so much.  I can't wait to hear about all the things you have been doing.

Mrs. T Update: I can't believe the flooding!

Dear Class,

I hope this finds you all safe and dry.  I have been watching the news and have seen all the flooding in Marietta.  I saw the picture of Clarksdale Elementary and felt sad about all the materials and books that will be lost.  I hope all of your homes  are dry.  We have had a lot of rain here and there was some major flooding on Sunday and some yesterday.  Today was clear and sunny.  It may rain again tonight and tomorrow.

My dad's funeral is on Thursday and tomorrow is the visitation.  Two of my daughters came in today and the rest of our family will be arriving tomorrow.  It will be nice to have us all together, but the next two days will be difficult.  Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.

I know you enjoyed your day off today and you get another one tomorrow.  Remember to read while you are at home.

Mrs. T Update: I need a favor

Dear Class,

I need a favor from each one  of you.  I need you to be very good this week, because  I will not be there again  and you will have a  sub.  Please do your best to help the sub and be on your best behavior.  

I need to be with my family right now.  My Daddy was doing well but he was not able to win his battle.  He died this morning very peacefully.  He was a very good man and I will miss very much.  I need to be here with my family.  I know my Daddy loved your cards and good wishes.  They made hm smile. You are all very special to me.

Mrs. T Update: Yeah, testing is over!!

It is finally Friday and ITBS testing is over.  I know everyone did their best.  I heard Mrs. Shope bought you ice cream for doing such a great job.

My Daddy is doing better.  He is getting stronger everyday and eats better.  I am very proud of how hard he is working to get better.  I hope he has a good night sleep tonight.  The nights have not been very easy on him.  It hard to sleep when you are  not in your own bed.  It will be hard to leave him on Sunday but I know he is in good hands.

I will see all of you on Monday.  Be there or be square!!

Mrs. T Update: Was the test Science or Social Studies?

Only one day left for testing.  I know you are excited!! What was you favote part of the test today?  Did you think you did all right?

I spend the day with my Daddy.  He is in the Rehab Center now and they really keep him working.  He saw the Occupational Therapist, the Speech Therapist, the Physical Therapist and he worked down to the gym and did some exercises.  It was a long walk for him and he was ready to go back to bed when he got back to his room.  They are going to keep him busy and working hard so he can come home in two or three weeks.  My brothers and I just have to keep encouraging him to stretch himself each day.

Good-luck on the final day of testing.  I know you are all doing your best on the test.

Mrs. T Update: How was the math?

I know it was a long test today with math.  Let me know what you thought. Was there one area  you liked the best?  What was the hardest for you?

My Daddy is doing some better.  They are moving him today to a rehab center for a couple of weeks to get stronger.  He is pretty weak from being in bed for over a week and having an operation.  But he is a hard worker and really tries to do everything he can to get better.  He is a great example of what hard work can accomplish.

Mrs. T Update

My Daddy is doing much better. He can still only eat things that are very thick because of his throat.  He is in good spirits and tries very hard to do everything he can to get well.  Today he was able to walk half way down the hall and back. He said he felt like he ran a marathon!! He appreciates all your good thoughts and prayers.

I know you are already tired of testing but hang in there.  Only three more days to go!  Tomorrow is Math and it will be a longer test.  So be sure to get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast.  Really do the Brain Gyms  well tomorrow.  They will help you stay focused.

I know I will get a good report about you from Mrs. Shope and Mrs. Carlin.  You are a great class so step up and show them what great students you are.

I miss you and think about you often.

Mrs. Tidrick is watching!

I hope testing went well today.  I know all of you are being on your best  behavior.  I know Mrs. Shope and Mrs. Carlin are doing their best for you so I hope you are doing your best for them.  I miss all of you.

I sat with my Daddy all day today. He had a busy day with tests and therapy.  He is doing his very best to get better.  Daddy does seem to be getting better. Thank you for all your postive thoughts and prayers.

Get a good night's sleep and get a good breakfast for tomorrow.

I just wanted to remind all of you to go to bed on time this week and eat a good breakfast.  I know each of you will do your best on the ITBS.

I wanted to let you know my Dad is during better.  He got moved from ICU and is now in his own room. He has a long way to go, but he is heading in the right direction.  I told him he was like the little engine that could climbing up the hill and I know he can make it to the top.

Have a great week and be on your best behavior for Mrs. Shope and Mrs. Carlin.
