Today our class shared their projects from the historical novel, Shades of Gray, which we read in Literacy Circles. The novel took place after the Civil War in a period known as Reconstruction. Some of the students did independent projects while others choose to do their project as a group. From a Civil War period newspaper, to an interview with the main character, to a song written by the group with a familiar tune (Download shades_of_gray.mp3 ), to a cartoon covering the main parts of the book, to a skit written by the students the projects were creative, interesting, and original.
